Gunther Theisz
Product Certification and Compliance
Gunther Theisz has a Masters degree in electrical engineering and twenty years experience in testing and certification for a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment, including machinery, household appliances and information technology devices. He worked as a technical certifier and quality systems auditor for TUV SUD, one of the largest Notified Bodies in Europe, and has worked in Frankfurt, Tokyo and Hong Kong before moving to Sydney, Australia in 1999. For the past ten years Gunther has been the manager of Testing and Certification Australia (TCA), a division of Energy Australia, responsible for managing all business aspects of product testing and certification, customer service and liaising with regulatory bodies. He has been president of ECTA, the peak body representing Australian/New Zealand testing laboratories.
